Ferrominera Orinoco is the product of the 1975 consolidation of the Iron Mining Company of Venezuela and what had been originally the Orinoco Mining operations of U.S. Steel. According to a March 2026 press release, Ferrominera Orinoco has 38 locomotives; no reference given as to how many are active. Reference sources:
